HOMESURE w-Shield SBR 50 (Super Bonding Repair Latex Champion) is a high-performance, single-component Styrene Butadiene Rubber latex designed for use in cementitious applications. It enhances adhesion, flexibility, and durability while improving water resistance, abrasion resistance, and workability. w-Shield SBR 50 is ideal for use as a bonding agent, waterproofing admixture, & repair mortar modifier in concrete, plaster, and masonry works.

Application Procedure
SURFACE PREPARATION:
- Ensure the surface is clean, free from dust, grease, and loose particles.
- The surface may be damp but should not be saturated.
- Prime the prepared surface using a slurry coat of HomeSure w-Shield SBR 50 (1 part w-Shield SBR 50 and 3 parts water).
WATERPROOF COATING:
- After the primer coat has dried, prepare a mix of HomeSure w-Shield SBR 50, water, and cement in a 1:2:5 ratio using a slow-speed mixer.
- Apply a minimum of 2-3 coats using a brush or roller, depending on surface requirements.
- Ensure each coat is fully cured before applying the next layer.
BONDING AGENT APPLICATION:
- Prime the surface with HomeSure w-Shield SBR 50 (1-part SBR 50 to 3 parts water) using a brush or roller.
- Apply a bonding slurry with a mix of 1 kg w-Shield SBR 50 to 2 kg cement.
- The bonding agent should be tacky before overlaying with fresh concrete or mortar.
REPAIR MORTAR APPLICATION:
- Prime the surface as mentioned above.
- Prepare a repair mortar mix of HomeSure w-Shield SBR 50: Cement: Sand in a 1:4:7 ratio.
- Apply the mortar in the required area and finish with a steel trowel or conventional method.
- Cure the applied mortar for 12-24 hours to ensure proper bonding.
