HomeSure GypEx Moistshield – A Moisture Resistant Gypsum Plaster is specially designed to provide protection in wet areas like bathrooms, kitchens, basements. balconies, parking podium etc. It provides extra protection with low absorption of moisture from the air or from surface giving excellent results in skirting area application with problems arising out of capillary action and efflorescence. It can be directly used over backgrounds like bricks, blocks, RCC etc. and provides a smooth inter, high quality surface to internal walls and ceiling and a durable base for application for decorative finishes.

Applications
| SUBSTRATE |
• Concrete/Mortar walls (internal surface). • Direct application on Bricks, Blocks, RCC & Sand cement surface (Internal surface). |
| SUBSTRATE PREPARATION |
• Clean loose particles, dirt, grease and traces of adhering material from the wall. • Preparation surface should be completely clean & reasonably dry. Pre-wet the surface before application to achieve good workability and higher coverage. |
| MIXING |
• Mixing should be carried out in a clean tray or bucket. • Mix HomeSure GypEx Moistshield moisture resistant gypsum plaster to water and not water to powder. • Water to plaster ratio should be (15 parts of water and 1 part of HomeSure GypEx Moistshield moisture resistant gypsum plaster maintaining the solids ratio). • Mix HomeSure GypEx Moistshield moisture resistant gypsum plaster to water with the help of hand to form a uniform lump-free paste. |
| APPLICATION |
• Install wooden strip / dhada or levelling strip in the area where the gypsum will be applied. • Apply the 1st coat approximately up to 10 mm to 12 mm thickness. Before the first coat sets, cross rake the surface. • Fill in any hollow area, level off and compact the surface. Before levelling, wait for 5–10 minutes for the initial set, then apply the final finish coat. • Level the surface using an aluminium level patty. Apply a thin slurry of HomeSure GypEx Moistshield moisture resistant gypsum plaster on the surface for the finishing coat. • Allow 72 hours to dry completely (depending on thickness and humidity). The plain, smooth, levelled surface is then ready for painting. |

| USAGE PRECAUTIONS |
• Use the material instantly after mixing. • Don’t add any additional dry material when the mix setting is in progress, since the performance properties of plaster will get altered, thus affecting workability, cohesiveness, adhesion, and strength. • A single coat should not exceed more than 8 mm to 10 mm thickness. • The surface on which the material needs to be applied should be levelled and pre-wet properly. • HomeSure GypEx Moistshield moisture resistant gypsum plaster should not be applied on surfaces subjected to continuous seepage or dampness. |
| PACKAGING AND STORAGE |
• Keep HomeSure GypEx Moistshield moisture resistant gypsum plaster bags away from water and damp areas. • Available in 25 Kg bags with a shelf life of 4 months if stored in a cool and dry location. • Avoid using partially used material. Open bags with partially used material should be kept with the bag mouth tightly closed. • As temperature, humidity, water addition and other parameters vary from site to site, the above information should be treated as a general guideline. |
| HEALTH & SAFETY | HomeSure GypEx Moistshield moisture resistant gypsum plaster contains only eco-friendly fillers and additives. However, it is advisable to avoid direct eye and skin contact with this material. In case of eye contact, kindly wash with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical help. Keep it out of reach of children. |
