Applications
SUITABLE SUBSTRATES
- Bricks (common brick, concrete bricks with raked joints)
- Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks
- Aggregate concrete blocks
- No-fines concrete
- Dense blocks (except smooth low-suction blocks)
- Ensure background is dry, clean, structurally sound, and dust-free
- Avoid applying on:
• Smooth low-suction dense blocks
• Green or freshly built backgrounds
• Surfaces with standing or visible free water

- Protect the substrate from direct weather exposure
Hand Mixing:
- Gradually add 15–18 liters of clean water per 25 kg bag of NOVA RockWall using clean mixing equipment. Contamination from previous mixes may affect setting time and strength
- Mix by hand until smooth and lump-free
- Avoid over-mixing, as this may reduce workability and adhesion
Machine Mixing:
- NOVA RockWall can be mixed and applied using plastering machines. Refer to the machine manufacturer’s guidance for correct operation
Hand Application:
- Install gypsum or levelling strips in the area to be plastered
- Apply the first coat to a thickness of 10–12 mm. Rake or cross-rake the surface before it sets
- Fill any hollow area, level off, and compact the surface. Allow the initial set before applying the finishing coat
- Level the surface using an aluminium straight edge and apply a thin slurry for the final finish
- After complete drying (usually ~72 hrs., depending on thickness and humidity), the surface is ready for painting
Machine Application:
- Pre-wet dry, absorbent surfaces before application
- Spray the material evenly using the plastering machine
- Level the surface with a float to the required thickness
- Use an aluminium ruler from bottom to top, then left-to-right and right-to-left to ensure an even finish
- The plastered wall will be ready for subsequent finishing or painting
- The product should be stored in a cool, dry place and should be used within 12 months of the date of manufacture
- Do not apply on frozen surfaces
- Do not apply plaster on:
• Green or freshly built backgrounds
• Surfaces with standing or visible free water
• Smooth, low-suction dense blocks
• Surfaces with standing or visible free water
• Smooth, low-suction dense blocks
- Protect freshly applied plaster from rapid drying in hot or windy conditions
- Do not expose the set plaster to temperatures above 49°C
- In hot or dry climates, protect from rapid water loss
- Keep out of reach of children
